A gradute of the Professional Development Program at Simon Fraser University (SFU)

 

A graduate of the Ecology, Conservation and Evolution Biology program at SFU

 

Focused on environmental education and technology education in the classroom

 

My Goals are

 

To build a cooperative and inclusive classroom that celebrates student progress rather than outcomes

 

To get outside and learn science by doing, thinking and using all our senses and to teach keeping in mind that we are guests on indigenous lands.

 

To integrate digital, online and mobile technologies in the classroom while keeping in mind the importance of student privacy and parent feedback.

 

My hope is that

 

Every student that takes my class strengthens their critical thinking skills and builds an appreciation and wonder for the natural world. 

 

Students discover new ways of learning.

 

Students, parents and myself collaborate with one another to establish cohesive and fluid learning environments for students.    

 

Students leave my class wanting to learn more about science and have a desire to discover new things using the skills attained in their science class.
